East Freisland Salvia is the purple flower on the left. Spinach on the right, with a rogue clump of green garlic in the right middle of the photo. Beets, then turnips grow beyond the spinach, and to the right of them, three varieties of lettuce: Ruby Oakleaf, Green Ice, and Romaine. The red-leaved dwarf Japanese Cherry tree produces spectacular flowers in the spring, but alas, no fruit.
